What has become my passion is to see Christian hearts made whole and then function at a higher level in relationships.
It was said of Jesus mission “He heals the brokenhearted and sets captives free". . . “(He) provides beauty for ashes" and . . . "garments of praise" that replace "a spirit of despair." (Is. 61:3) My wish for you is to help set you free from the issues that are weighing you down to allow you to function in the manner in which you were intended to function.
I have been counseling for 8 years, predominately with trauma issues, predominately with Christians. Traumas come in all sizes, it only matters if it felt traumatic to you.
Working with foster kids helped me understand I could give people HOPE, no matter the situation.
A year internship during my final year of graduate school was completed at Lutheran Child and Family Service, Grand Rapids, MI, in the Intensive Treatment Foster Care Program.
From 2003 until January 2009, I enjoyed an affiliation with Dayspring Counseling Associates, a center known for it’s help to the Christian community since 1984.
With joy, ReGenesis Counseling, LLC came into existence in February 2009. Genesis in the Bible was the account of the beginning of life – plants, animals, and most significantly human beings. Along the way, many of us have learned how to live with dead places in our hearts. This is not as God intended, nor is it living. ReGenesis Counseling was established to help bring back to life some of the dead places in our heart that allows us internal peace and to function better in relationships.
My objective is to restore hope, so that you can live life rather than exist.
I have observed that people struggle at their core. Many of us have learned well how to conform outwardly to expectations of parents, bosses, and spouses, but failed to take care of our own hearts: who we are inside, our core. This lies at the heart of what I do. This is what I've learned, this is my vision for you.
This issue has become a passion and a focus for me.
For those who believe that God’s objective for Christians is peace and joy, this pattern of neglecting the core of our being brings destruction to relationships with God and with others.

Relationships are difficult! Relationships are at the core of our hurts. Each of us lives our lives from a unique perspective. How then can we function, even enjoy relationships with people when their ways of relating are so different than ours? I have spent many hours analyzing just this question and have come up with good answers and would like to share them with your group.
